VAcancy : Data Center Server Technician II - Northlake, IL

Specific Requirements:

We are actively looking to fill a Datacenter Technician position, supporting our Northlake, IL location. In this position, you perform server hardware upgrades, maintenance, and modifications. You will Install and configure operating system and other software. This includes installation of OS, software and all specified patches and updates. You will perform hardware, software, and network troubleshooting and provide break/fix resolution or escalation. You will perform server rebuild and or data replication or restoration and perform server decommissions. You will perform routine and or emergency maintenance as scheduled or as required, updating all applicable documentation, databases, and service request tickets with required information as necessary.

Requires 1-2 years of experience in a datacenter or equivalent environment. Must have at least 1 current MCP certification. Requires A+ and Server+ certifications. Must have strong knowledge of hardware and network troubleshooting and support for both desktops and servers and have technical proficiency in relevant operating systems and applications. Requires exceptional customer service, communication, and problem solving skills. Must show attention to detail and safety and possess no lifting restrictions and have the ability to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis.
