vacancy : Senior Environmental Engineer / Remediation Engineer (Principal Leadership Role) - San Francisco

The Johnson Group Staffing Company, Inc. is a technical staffing company specializing in Engineering & Environmental employment opportunities. Our client; a well respected and industry leading full service Environmental Consulting firm with base offices in both San Francisco and Oakland; is currently seeking Senior Environmental Engineer / Remediation Engineer to join either one of their bay area environmental offices.

Basic & Required Qualifications:

The most qualified and ideal Environmental Engineer for this opening will posses a bachelors or masters of science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineer, Chemical Engineering, or related degree; have a CA PE license; and a minimum of 10+ years of environmental consulting industry experience pertaining to the environmental remediation and clean up field (design & implementation). Strong technical experience, knowledge of remediation technologies including design and implementation of treatment systems is preferred. Must be 40 Hours OSHA Trained.

Great candidates will have strong knowledge of CA environmental regulations; strong financial skills including budgeting, cost management, invoicing, subcontractor procurement; demonstrated successful experience in project management ($200K - >$1M range) for private sector industrial/commercial clients; and have excellent writing and verbal communications skills

Key Responsibilities:

This Senior Environmental Engineer/ Remediation Engineer will manage multi-task, multi-disciplinary environmental and engineering projects involving existing and innovative technologies. Projects include cleanup/removal of hazardous wastes, contaminated soil and groundwater, and design of soil and groundwater remediation systems. Manage technical, budgetary and schedule performance to achieve client satisfaction and repeat business. Provide project and staff leadership to the Bay Area office, reporting to the Engineering Group. Provide engineering and technical expertise to fellow project managers and other offices. Foster team environment, develop staff through mentoring, leadership and training. Manage proposal preparation including innovative technical approaches and competitive pricing. Will prepare and conduct client presentations. Ensure quality assurance/quality control and compliance with Company policies.
