The RSPB are recruiting for an Operations Manager based at their Forsinard Flows Reserve. This new post has been created to take forward practical delivery of landscape scale restoration of blanket bog including removal and harvesting of 1,000ha of recently acquired plantation where forestry experience will be an asset. You will manage a staff and residential volunteer team to deliver management of hydrological restoration, deer management, hill farming, native woodland creation, visitor centre, trails and schools programme. The wild 21,000ha reserve comprises 14% of RSPB's UK reserve area at the heart of the proposed Flow Country World Heritage Site and Futurescape where you will work closely with the local community. Demonstrable conservation experience relevant to the role is required as well as knowledge of upland land management.
