Be part of shaping the future environmental governance of Wales. An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen to join RSPB Cymru's influential advocacy team as maternity cover in the role of Sustainable Development Manager, overseeing RSPB Cymru's engagement with legislation and policy developments in Wales and ensuring that Nature's Voice is heard in the National Assembly.
The proposed merger of environmental agencies, and new Welsh Bills promised on Sustainable Development, Planning and the Environment have significant consequences for wildlife conservation in Wales and the Sustainable Development Manager will be at the forefront of our response to this agenda. Working at a senior level in the Wales Conservation team, the Sustainable Development Manager oversees a team of five staff members, and line manages three staff.
We would welcome secondments to this post from other organisations and would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you further. Please speak to Head of Conservation, Dr Sean Christian to discuss.
