Marine Policy Officer

Location: Bangor or Cardiff


A Marine Policy Officer is required in Wales to develop and promote marine policy, specialising in nature conservation and Marine Protected Areas. A key element of this exciting opportunity will be working with NGO partners in Wales to influence the implementation of the Welsh Government's new powers under the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009. You will have a sound knowledge of marine ecosystems and demonstrable experience of marine policy and management systems. You will have the ability to devise and promote policy, produce written material of a high standard, and communicate with a range of audiences including politicians and senior officials within the Welsh Government.

£22,000 to £26,000 pa
