Information Officer - Whitelee Windfarm

Location: East Renfrewshire

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic `people person' to work for the RSPB on a five month partnership project. This exciting new pilot 'Date with Nature' between ScottishPower Renewables and RSPB Scotland has been set up to enthuse visitors to Whitelee, Europe's largest windfarm, about the wildlife at the site, and to education them on RSPB policy on climate change and renewable energy sources.

As well as manning an information stand within the visitor centre, the post holder will be required to design and deliver a creative events programme, including walks, talks, activities and themed days related to either the local wildlife or to climate change. Visitors should leave these events with a 'take home' message about how they can integrate sustainable living into their own lives.

These events will create a platform to speak to the public about the work of the RSPB and to recruit new supporters to the charity.
