Lead Field Teacher

Reference number: 2921111

Location: Norfolk

Are you passionate about environmental education? If so, we are looking for an inspiring and committed environmental educator to work as the lead field teacher in the Broads. You will mainly be working at RSPB Strumpshaw Fen nature reserve but you may also be required to offer sessions at other sites in the Broads, including Whitlingham Country Park. You will be delivering outdoor, hands-on, curriculum-linked activities for a wide variety of school children, including primary and secondary schools. You may also be required to develop and deliver indoor education sessions in local schools.

You will need to demonstrate that you are an excellent communicator with previous experience of working with children, and the ability to develop curriculum-linked sessions and activities. You will be leading a team of three field teachers, so experience of managing staff or volunteers is desirable.

If you can work in a team, have a flexible attitude to work (the role is part-time and the working hours will be dependant on the number of school bookings and events) and are enthusiastic and self motivated we would love to hear from you.
